this was one of the longest weeks of my life! we had one massive & beautiful wedding this weekend, which completely wore me out. but it was a perfect event & i can't believe we only have one more wedding this weekend before its all over! i'm looking forward to relaxing a little more this week, seeing coldplay on wednesday & watching the olympics! here are some of the things i captured in the midst of last week's craziness.

i became a fan of marina after seeing her open for katy perry last summer but after listening to her new album "electra heart" & watching this music video, i've become a super fan. the catchy tune is a classic girl power song & the music video is oh so over the top feminine, complete with chandeliers, hot rollers & lots of pink. can't wait to see her again next week when she opens for coldplay! love love love.

childhood favorite: modern day madeline.

one of my favorite books & movies as a child was "madeline." my sister & i both dressed up as her for halloween (that's me at 3!) & it was one of the most requested bedtime stories at our house. now, 18 years later, i still have a love for all things madeline. her bright coats & hats, her strong attitude, the house covered in vines & of course, her life in paris, are the things i love the most about madeline. here's what i believe a modern day madeline would love.

this weekend was a great balance between work & fun. we had a small, beautiful wedding on the water on saturday & the rest of the weekend i did some retail shopping & baking. its been a hot one this week, so i'm looking for the temperatures to drop a little bit before one of our biggest events this saturday. now to catch some rest before the mayhem! happy monday!
