season of the sweet tooth.

well hello again! school, baby-sitting & being sick has taken over my life recently but the next few weeks are less stressful, making more time for me to blog! today i'm sharing a recipe i made for my mom's birthday a few weeks ago when i was home. these pumpkin cupcakes from martha stewart were the perfect fall treat but when i added this salted caramel frosting, it was perfection. super moist & salty sweet, these will definitely be my staple recipe for fall.

spices.
mix in pumpkin.
 boiling caramel.
 sweet & salty frosting.

the great pumpkin.

it officially feels like fall & i couldn't wait any longer than starting on some fall crafts. last night, i painted the white pumpkin i bought from the cider mill with gold polka-dots & my monogram. i love the alternatives there are for pumpkins this fall, instead of the traditional carved pumpkins. here are some of my favorites from my that i'm hoping to continue making this weekend at home!

lilly pulitzer.
for a preppy halloween, modge podge lilly fabric over pumpkins.

 candy-corn.
spray paint candy-corn stripes on gourds & pumpkins for trick-or-treating.

glitter.
for the single girl, nothing looks more fun than glittered pumpkins on the doorstep.

chalkboard.
spray paint pumpkins with chalkboard paint for spooky black pumpkins or write fun halloween sayings for guests.

ikat & chevron.
the patterns of the year look extra chic on white pumpkins.
